World Book Day
Thursday 2nd March is World Book Day.
You should now have received a letter from the Celebration Committee telling you all about their plans.
To kick start the day we will be having a Reading Breakfast for children and parents. Breakfast will be served in the school hall from 8.30am. Once you have collected breakfast you will be directed to your class's reading area. We aim to finish around 9am to allow those parents attending the morning session of the GIRFEC event at Perth Playhouse to get there on time.
Pupils are welcome to come to school dressed as their favourite book character. Please bring £1 for Book Aid International, a very worthwhile charity providing books for children in Africa. Please click the link below for further information.
There will also be a book swap held in each class. This is an optional activity. Pupils should bring a book to school that they no longer want and swap it for another one to bring home. Books should be in good condition please.Classes will also be taking part in lots of other reading activities throughout the day. There are lots of exciting activities for you to join in at home on the World Book Day website too! The link below will take you to the official site. Thank you.
